Client Profile:

Are you an experienced, German speaking Marketing Manager, with a passion for the events sector? Are you a creative person, who loves the idea of delivering marketing strategy to promote a portfolio of events to both delegates and exhibitors? We are currently recruiting for a German speaking Marketing Manager to promote two major technology trade shows / exhibitions, taking place in Germany.

Role Description:

-Working with the marketing and events directors, you will help the team develop and implement marketing strategy, positioning and product strategy.
-Executing marketing campaigns and reporting on effectiveness and results, ensuring all elements achieve required performance criteria.
-Managing the creative / design process for marketing material, including the update and development of existing materials, plus new marketing material.
-Working with the sales team to create sales campaigns, focusing on both new client growth and increased client retention.
-Assisting in driving revenue for all products across digital, sponsorship and future revenue opportunities.
-Developing a strategic audience development plan and ensuring marketing communications accurately reflect event positioning.
-Collaborating with partners to develop marketing campaigns, lead generation strategies and compelling materials for all revenue streams across live and digital products.
-Regularly reviewing marketing plans, response rates, KPIs, attendee demographics and industry best practices.
-Overseeing and executing community building and social media strategies, interaction and brand affinity to improve audience experience.
-Managing PR strategy, and working with press lists
-Database and list management and development with the support of business intelligence and data teams
-Provide accurate and timely reporting of key marketing statistics and forecasts
-Managing marketing budgets, purchase orders and liaising with finance and reporting teams
-Managing registration process for visitors
-Managing pricing strategies and reporting
-Supporting Marketing Director and Event Director is determining and executing business

Person Specification:

-Excellent writing skills both in German and English.
-Educated to graduate calibre with at least 3 years’ experience at marketing executive level
-Outstanding written copy skills with strong accuracy and detail orientation
-Ability to produce creative and well-thought out marketing plans
-Able to manage multiple projects and deliver on time
-Good PC literacy, including content management systems, databases and email systems
-Commercial acumen to develop sales-led marketing initiatives
-Ambition to develop your marketing career
-Have something special to offer in Social Media skills!
-Able to get on well with people of all backgrounds
-Responds well to pressure
-Flexible to work extended hours during key show times
