ICT Teacher
Secondary ICT Teaching Role in Reading, Berkshire
Start date: January 2015
Full Time Contract to July 2015
Salary range: £110 - £125 per day (depending on experience)
An all-girls secondary school in Reading, Berkshire requires an ICT (Information and Communications Technology) teacher who can also teach computer programming, to start in January 2015 until July 2015. You will be teaching across the school, all the way up to A-level.
This is a small secondary school located on the outskirts of Reading which currently caters for fewer than 700 students. Students have access to well-furnished and methodically-designed premises, and plans are in place for comprehensive extensions providing modern and avant-garde facilities. The library is fully equipped with computers that are available to students both during and after school hours. Students enrolled at this school are eager and keen to learn. They show an encouraging interest in the classrooms, which are run by enthusiastic and knowledgeable teachers.
The school is now looking for a ICT teacher with the ability to teach computer programming lessons. The school is open to meeting newly qualified (NQTs) and overseas-trained teachers.
If you are passionate about pupils’ development and enthusiastic to take on a new challenge, then you are the type of candidate we would like to speak to. In addition, you must meet the following criteria:
- Eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa to apply)
- PGCE in Secondary Education (ICT)
- QTS - Qualified Teacher Status
- Proven track record and experience working as a ICT teacher, teaching the UK/IB Curriculum
- Recent classroom based references and a valid DBS/police checks
- Experienced in teaching science up to KS5
- Excellent communication skills
- Self motivation with a passion to develop your career as a ICT teacher
