Job Title: ASP  . NET Developers

Location: Sheffield, S3

Salary: Up to £40k dependant on level of experience

The company is looking to recruit a number of ASP . NET Developers to join their vibrant and dynamic Development Team in Sheffield. You will be joining the business at a key time, as it looks to further develop and integrate its patient facing products.

Job Role:

As an ASP .NET Developer you will have strong technical and problem solving skills. You will have the code craftsmanship skills necessary to take on a range of engineering challenges that will support millions of patients and health professionals through innovation and systems integration. You will love getting involved in a team environment and have a passion for web technologies and delivering quality software solutions.

The ASP. NET Developer has the joint responsibility for ensuring that the software and the overall product is delivered to the highest standards of quality, security and interoperability, refactoring and contributing to the overall design of the technical solution to achieve these aims.

Additionally the ASP. NET Developer will also collaborate in the design, development, testing and documentation of software components. They will also develop well-designed, efficient software for both the server-side and user interface components, take ownership of the preparation of automated Unit Test suites and will take an active role in the functional and non-functional testing of both the components that they and the rest of the team develop. 

Working in an Agile Team focused on the continuous delivery of business value in a highly collaborative environment where suggestions for improvement and innovation are always welcomed.

Key Skills and Experience:

• At least two years commercial ASP .  NET development experience
• Technically competent with proven experience of the Microsoft development stack, including ASP .  NET, C #, MVC and SQL Server
• Ability to innovate and solve complex problems
• Experienced at crafting robust, scalable and secure solutions
• You should be experienced developing web services and integrating disparate systems
• Proficient at writing Unit Tests
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
• Good understanding of source control systems
• Frontend coding skills including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript / JQuery / Ajax

Desirable skills and experience:

• Developing solutions for cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Developing RESTful services using Microsoft Web API
• Working experience of content management systems
• Experience of Microsoft TFS
