Sales & Administration Support Executive - Leading £100 Million Timber Supplier
Cirencester
£20,000 - £25,000 depending upon experience + Company Benefits Package

We are the country’s leading timber distribution company with a turnover of £100+ million based in Cirencester who offer an excellent remuneration package and career opportunities. We are looking for an organised, customer focused person with great administration and telephone skills who can build relationships with our valued customers and will use their initiative to support, and coordinate our sales of engineered wood products.
The Sales & Administration Support Executive Role:
Reporting to the National Product Manager the roleholder will support the sales activities of the Engineered Wood Products team through handling customer enquiries, orders and contracts, and being the conduit for technical enquiries relating to structural design and software provision.
Sales & Administration Support Executive Key Duties:
> Work with sales to realise sales opportunities
> Administer and maintain the management systems for processing orders, customer contracts, forecasting and pricing
> Review stock and ensure any slow moving items are highlighted and moved through
> Be the conduit for external support services in connection with design support and engineering support services
> Coordinate and control the design requests to ensure all projects are recorded and returned in a timely manner
> Maintain the software licence register to ensure distributors have the software they need
> Maintain a register of software improvement requests and communicate with the software provider
> Provide technical support to customers and ensure that technical literature is up to date and in line with current regulations
Preferred Experience & Skills:
> Educated to Degree level or ‘A’ level standard with experience of sales or customer service
> Proven experience providing administration support in a fast paced commercial role
> Experience of handling a variety of different customer; in the construction and builders merchant sector would be advantageous but not essential
> A professional telephone manner and success in building long term working relationships with senior people or owners of companies
> Sound decision making skills and ability to analyse sales and technical data
> Ability to understand product/design engineering in the construction industry or architects drawings/plans and source technical solutions
> Ability to process technical sales enquiries and ensure they are actioned and resolved successfully
> Able to plan and coordinate tasks
This is a hybrid role requiring administration, coordination and technical sales skills
Required personal skills:
> You will be a confident communicator able to sell products and solutions
> Accurate, thorough with good attention to detail
> Able to work under pressure, remain composed at all times and deliver to tight deadlines
> You will be keen to work for an ever changing business and will therefore be able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
The Remuneration package is:
Salary: £20-25k depending upon experience
Hours of work: 40 per week, 8am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch
Holidays: 21 days per year
Performance bonus and profit share scheme: Annual payments dependent upon company and individual performance
Contributory pension scheme: Generous company contribution
