Nuffield Health are currently seeking a Technical Specialist to join our IT team, based at our flagship head office in Epsom, Surrey. The Technical Specialist will be responsible for incident, problem & change management across all technical IT services that they support.
The focus of this role is effective provision of continuous IT services, and resolution of complaints about service issues so service is restored, and includes elements of provisioning, stability, capacity and performance management, security & control, whilst complying with all SLAs, OLA and Security and Risk governance requirements and needs.
The Technical Specialist will provide BAU support for the Linux Environment, supporting circa 20 servers for the digital 'Healthscore' area. Ad hoc Project Management and Documentation duties will also form part of the position.
The role will encompass the following provisions:
*Deliver excellence in IT Customer Service
*Resolve service issues by restoring services or service features
*Manage change to Nuffield Health Technical infrastructure
Key working relationships will include liaison with Customer Service, other Technical Specialists, Project Managers, Network Specialists and 3rd party Application Support.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
*Educated to degree or vocational /professional qualification level (or qualified by experience)
*Experience of Stakeholder Management and customer focused attitude
*Experienced in Incident, Problem and Change Management
*Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with an ability to talk at both a technical and non-technical level
*Strong organisation and coordination skills
*Healthcare or Hospital systems experience would be desirable but not essential, as would experience supporting Data Centre and remote site infrastructure
