The Job:

Our client in Cardiff are looking for a Reception teacher to cover a maternity contract from the 3/11/14 to February half term. You should have experience of working within a Primary and have the interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate with staff and students. The class is made up of 34 children, and has 3 teaching assistants allocated to the class. The role is full time, Monday to Friday, and the school day runs from 8:30am - 3:30pm. Planning, preparation and also marking will also be required. Knowledge and experience of delivering the Welsh curriculum is an absolute must. The pay will be ?100 per day, with the possibility of also being payrolled through one of our umbrella companies so you can off set your expenses and travel costs.

The Child:

The school has a wide catchment area, encompassing pupils from a variety of backgrounds and with varying levels of difficulties and ability. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of differentiation within the classroom, and also an emphasis on behaviour management and inclusive learning. They will also have a strong passion and enthusiasm for education and have a real drive to motivate pupils in their learning. The role is to cover a Reception class, and there are some children within the class with additional learning needs, who do have one to one learning support assistant support.
