An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cost Estimator -Plastic Injection Moulding based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire to join part of an emerging division in a global automotive injection moulding company which supports many sectors including automotive and telecommunications.
This stock listed company actively supports the training and development of staff who wish to advance their career. The company employs thousands of staff worldwide; the UK division has engineering, tooling design, plastic injection moulding, machining and assembly capabilities.
As a Cost Estimator your duties will include:
• Reporting to the Operations Director.
• Creating and issuing detailed cost estimates for all plastics injection molded components and tooling.
• Cost/Estimate engineering changes.
• Tracking project costs during tooling design, development, test and evaluation and proceeds to production of mould tool.
• Analyse engineering drawings (CAD) and other documentation to prepare time, cost materials, process and labour estimates.
• Support technical department activities by effective liaison with customers.
• Work closely with material suppliers and sub-contractors.
An ideal Cost Estimator will hold the following skills and experiences:
• Background in Plastic Injection Moulding.
• Knowledge of the tooling manufacturing process
• Able to read engineering drawings
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
In return you will receive a salary of £26,000 - £30,000 plus excellent package.
