Cheltenham Tool Company is one of the UK’s most respected manufacturers of Aerospace components and is a major supplier to many of the leading names in the aerospace market.  Cheltenham Tool Company is part of the Universal Steels and Aluminium Group of Companies and offer various engineering solutions, from individual precision machined components to complex pipe assemblies as used on the very latest aero engines.

Responsibilities

  • Devise and establish quality procedures, standards and specifications.
  • Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring compliance.
  • Working with the purchasing department to ensure to establish and maintain quality requirements from external suppliers.
  • Setting standards for quality
  • Ensuring that manufacturing processes meet industry and customer standards
  • Defining and ensuring quality standards in conjunction with operating staff
  • Creating and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
  • Monitoring performance through data collation and analysis
  • Producing statistical reports and presenting information to the Board
  • Producing clear explanatory documents such as Engineering Control documents
  • Preparing and chairing internal and external audits

Successful candidates will be:-

  • Ideally Qualified to HND or degree level or equivalent but not essential.
  • Familiar with Nadcap &AS9100 standards
  • Possess at least two years relevant Quality experience. (Specific to Aerospace not essential)
  • Be organised to be able to cope with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast moving aerospace environment
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all management levels, both internally and externally
  • Lead and operate as a team member on projects
