SKILLS REQUIRED
• You will have a maths, science, engineering or economics degree (or equivalent).
• Good knowledge and experience of excel and analytical techniques.
• Experience of report and presentation writing and communicating ideas and concepts.
THE ROLE
As a Regulatory Analyst, you will provide analysis and support for the delivery and development of regulatory and financial strategy and policies. The next 5 years brings both a new regulatory framework of four price controls and the application of the new Water Act, which is the single biggest change to the Water industry since privatisation. We need people who will help us understand the effect and implication of all these changes as we work through the period.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Analysis of data, legislation and regulatory documents, as well as operational processes.
ABOUT YOU

Because you will be working with and talking to many teams across the business, you will need to have good interpersonal and networking skills and be able to work at all levels. You will also be commercially astute, self driven and able to identify and source data and information to support analysis.
THE COMPANY
Yorkshire Water manages the collection, treatment and distribution of water around the Yorkshire region, supplying around 1.24 billion litres of drinking water each day. At the same time we also collect, treat and dispose of approximately one billion litres of waste water safely back into the environment.
But we’re about much more than just water and sewerage services and our people work across a wide range of areas including IT, Finance and Regulation, HR and Health & Safety.
We currently have a vacancy for a Regulatory Analyst to join the Regulation team within the Finance and Regulation department. The Regulation team ensures that we meet our legal and regulatory duties, including coordinating implementation of new legislation.

Career enhancement and development, colleague well-being and a genuinely positive work experience for all, are key priorities. We are continuously evolving and improving our ways of working and you will support us in achieving our vision of “taking responsibility for the water environment, for good.”
