CRG Defence has an excellent opportunity for NHS / Private experienced General Practitioner to work for the MoD in the UK. The successful candidate will be required to work in a locum capacity within military medical centres throughout the UK working full or part time hours in positions that could be anything from 1 day all the way to 11 months long.
We currently have bases throughout Wiltshire who are prepared to train NHS / Private experience GPs on how the military centres operate, how to use their computer system DMICP (similar to EMIS) and how to complete the paperwork. Once you have the experience working within these Wiltshire bases, you will then be able to work in any base throughout the UK (to include the UK bases abroad in Brunei, Canada, Cyprus, Germany, Gibraltar, Italy and Nepal).
In the military medical centres, you will be required to see the service personnel (doing a lot of occupational health consultations) as well as their families. The appointment times do tend to be longer than those allocated on the NHS.
The MoD will pay for your accommodation from Sunday - Thursday night each week to include breakfast and evening meal provided you live more than an hour away from the base.
The successful GP candidate will be responsible for the:
- Primary Healthcare Clinics (PHC)
- Occupational Health Assessments (OH)
- Routine medical examinations
The successful GP candidate must:
- Have a license to practice with the GMC
- Be registered and included on a medical Performers List
- Have a UK Vocational training Certificate or equivalent
- Have experience and be competent in conducting occupational health assessments primary healthcare clinics and routine medical examinations
