About The Job

We are currently looking for experienced Business Analysts to join our team in London, working primarily on Digital and E-commerce projects.

As Business Analyst, you will assist and advise the business in identifying and understanding changes required to meet their objectives. You will also capture, analyse and document the requirements as well as the subsequent support for the communication and delivery, engaging with relevant parties throughout the project life cycle.

This is a key role in supporting our strategic objective to become a global brand that delivers a consistent experience to our customers, however and wherever they interact with us.

Job Summary

• Responsible for discovering and documenting the as-is process, designing and modelling the to-be process with the business, performing gap analysis and recommending actions
• The elicitation and capture of business requirements using a range of techniques, including the facilitation of workshops, document analysis, sites visits, use cases, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
• Ensure that the requirements and processes are concise with any ambiguity resolved and that they are aligned to the strategic and tactical goals of the project and the business.
• Ensure both functional and non-functional requirements are captured and documented appropriately
• Manage the scope and traceability of business requirements
• Working closely with the business to review and challenge business processes to ensure they are fit for purpose
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with other IT functions to ensure business processes are aligned with the business and IT architecture
• Deliver the required artefacts for the necessary stage of the project
• Serve as an interface between the business customers and the internal and external IT teams
• Provides business input into test strategy, system test plans, system test conditions and UAT plans taking responsibility for ensuring the requirements are tested and delivered
• Plan and monitor tasks and liaise with the project manager, taking responsibility for ensuring these are achieved to plan and any associated risks and/or issues are managed and communicated accordingly

Experience & Skills

Commercial

• An ability to recognise process challenges within a business area and functional interdependencies.
• The ability to apply process analysis principles to business solutions
• An appreciation of the wider business process impacts of a proposed initiative
• Commercial retail knowledge

Technical

• Business process modelling and process mapping tools
• Understanding of IT systems and the ability to understand and review technical documentation, with support from the solution analysts as required
• Business Change project methodology (or similar)
• Experience of Digital (E-commerce and M-commerce) projects is desirable, in particular large-scale re-plaforming projects

Interpersonal Skills

• Being able to work and communicate confidently at all levels up to senior management.
• Strong analytical and interpretive skills
• Good influencing and interpersonal skills
• Capable of facilitating workshops
• Strong presentation skills - ability to synthesise complex information and communicate it in a concise & compelling manner
• Ability to generate enthusiasm in the business
