Salary £22,438 per annum + Benefits (pro rata, if applicable)

12 Months Fixed Term Contract

1x Full-Time – 37 hours, 5 days per week (between Monday and Friday)
1x Part-Time – 18.5 hours, hours and days to be agreed (between Monday and Friday)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Community Advocates to join our clients Hertfordshire Team, on a fixed term basis until 31st December 2015. The ideal candidates will be working on our Community Advocacy services contract in Hertfordshire. The posts are primarily home-based, although the area of work to be covered will be in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. 

You will be supporting a wide range of vulnerable people with sometimes profound and multiple needs, so ideally you will have experience of this type of work, along with a good working knowledge of voluntary organisations. 
You will be a confident positive team player, able to work in partnership with clients and professionals, gaining an understanding of their issues by listening, exploring options and taking action as directed by them. Their ideal candidates will have worked in advocacy, information and advice or similar roles before, ideally in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of working with vulnerable adults. 

You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information, and in seeking support and supervision. Strong communication skills and time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate.
