Head Of Coaching, Development & Facilitation

Our Client was Founded in 2012, and is the largest primary-only academy trust in the country, and they are currently looking for a Head of Coaching, Development & Facilitation to join their team. It is a growing charitable organisation currently supporting 35 primary schools across England. Our clients primary focus is to ensure that all their pupils are provided with the right educational environment which not only inspires them to embrace learning and develop creativity - but also to have fun, make friends, respect individuality and ultimately to reach their full potential.

Job Purpose:

The Head of Coaching, Development & Facilitation shall be accountable to the Deputy CEO and the Board of Directors for setting the vision for leadership coaching, facilitation of all programmes running within the Trust and securing a rigorous and inspirational programme of professional development for our schools.

As an organisation which promotes “exceptional opportunities for learning”, this new post will bring together all aspects of leadership training, coaching and facilitation to ensure a seamless programme for coaching, teaching and learning and leadership training for our academies. The post-holder must be able to promote the Trust and its vision to a wide variety of audiences, mentor and support new Headteachers and at times, and fulfil the role of Interim Headteacher where circumstances require.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver leadership and educational programmes and training to meet organisational needs for REAch2 teachers, senior and middle leaders ensuring that material is impactful, up to date and relevant.

- Maintain quality approval standards by providing specialist advice, guidance and support on the delivery of teaching and leadership courses across the Trust

- Act as ‘Lead Trainer’ to ensure best practice, assist in writing and developing new programmes, providing the evaluation processes for learning programmes, oversee the key modules and maintenance of training materials, and liaise with internal and external training providers.

- Plan conferences alongside the Deputy CEO ensuring that all speakers deliver against the REAch2 “touchstones” and provide inspirational and exceptional opportunities for Reach2 leaders. (All logistical processes such as guest speaker booking and transport requirements should be undertaken by P.A to Deputy CEO)

- In liaison with the Executive Principals team, develop and deliver bespoke staff development requirements where necessary in the form of staff meetings, INSET days and MAT-wide programmes

- Develop the appropriate structures to provide leadership coaching across the whole organisation within the Education and the Business team

- Provide one to one support where necessary through coaching, mentoring and delivery of any appropriate development tools in liaison with the team of Executive Principals

- Represent the Trust at public meetings, including parent meetings & staff meetings in the process of schools converting to the Trust.

- On occasions provide interim leadership support to schools causing concern or with lack of leadership capacity.

- Prepare concise and appropriate reports and provide structured feedback to line manager

- Work in collaboration with the ETSA National Teaching School, leading on aspects of CPD, Research and Development, and Leadership Development promoting courses within the Trust such as NPQH

- Ensuring that the Trust provide professional development for all members of its work-force, including Teaching Assistants and midday staff by training MAT-wide facilitators

- Complete weekly 15FIVE reports to Deputy CEO

- Any other duties that may occur within this leadership pay-grade
