A rapidly expanding company with a fast growing regional network of stunning Design Centres is looking for a sales and customer service focused Retail Manager to lead the team in a brand new showroom situated in Chiswick, West London.

The Retail Manager will take full responsibility for the day to day running of the Showroom and ensure it is visually merchandised to an excellent standard to maintain brand integrity. This dynamic individual will be responsible for leading and motivating a team to maximise sales and exceed targets and ensure operational standards are achieved whilst delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key tasks:
- To manage the showroom as a whole, to increase sales and profitability across all products year on year
- To drive quality standards, sales and customer excellence
- To induct and line manage a team of Designers, Administrators and Retail Assistants, creating a positive working environment in which to encourage individual development and staff retention
- To train, develop and motivate staff to provide the highest level of customer service, giving advice on products and ensuring the customer's expectations are surpassed.
- To manage attendance matters, prepare rota's and maintain a flexible team who can react to the needs of the business
- To be responsible for all local marketing activities
- To manage the stock levels for the showroom and liaise with Head Office to optimise sales and reduce stock outs.
- To ensure all merchandise presentations and displays are maintained to a high standard with accurate, relevant Point of Sale material and in keeping with the brand.
Key Competencies:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong leadership skills
- A passion for detail and a flair for sales
- Exceptional attention to detail with store standards and product merchandising
- Strong interpersonal skills both face to face and on the telephone
- Good personal presentation and rapport building skills
Beneficial background experience: 2+ years experience in a retail management role selling some form of design led product - kitchens, bathrooms, and/or interior furnishings or within the home/fashion retail sector.
