Food Dudes Health Ltd is currently seeking 3 x Programme Specialists (Behaviour Change) to join our organisation and to cover the West Midlands. The successful applicants will receive £20,000 - £23,000 per annum.
Food Dudes Health Ltd is a bio-behavioural science organisation that fights childhood obesity, along with the pain, suffering and burden it causes obese children, their families and the wider community. We work with Governments in the UK and internationally, have been recognised by the World Health Organisation and the UK's Chief Medical Officer among others, and remain the acknowledged experts (globally) in childhood behaviour change targeted at healthy food choices and physical activity.
We’re currently looking for Programme Specialists who are outgoing, confident, and comfortable speaking to groups of teachers and parents, while being sensitive and flexible enough to work individually with children and teachers who may require that ‘extra time’.
So far, our Programme Specialists have helped more than 700,000 children learn to love fruit and vegetables – and, what is more, prefer them over junk food alternatives. Sound impossible? Well if you join our team, you will see just how powerful behaviour change science can be.
Successful Programme Specialists will be intelligent and passionate about what our Programmes aim to achieve and you will come armed with a background in Psychology, Nutrition, Health or Education. A strong commitment to improving children’s lives won’t, on its own, be enough. You will also need to have a thorough understanding of the science underlying behaviour change. The ability to do this will be reflected in formal qualifications, so you will be educated to a Degree or Masters Level (although we are open to those with relevant work experience).
The successful Programme Specialists will need you to:
- Develop and sustain relationships with key contacts
- Work with Head Teachers to schedule and resource the Programme for the year ahead
- Enthuse and inspire others, using your excellent communication, liaison, and public presentation skills
- Train and engage teachers and other school staff to become behaviour change agents themselves, so that they are able to play an important role in Programme delivery
- Present to and engage children from 2-11 years of age in Nurseries and Primary Schools, including Special Schools, in a range of environments
- Oversee the logistics of programme delivery
- Collect and analyse ‘before, during and after’ outcome data from within your schools
- Be the conduit between our scientists and ‘the front line’, feeding back suggestions to improve the Programme and helping it to respond to the constantly changing nature of the school environment – and to children generally
- Report directly to a Senior Specialist. You’ll be a home-based, remote-working team member who, when not visiting schools, or meeting with the team, will be managing your specific caseload in the field
- Possess demonstrable time-management attributes, coupled with an ability to prioritise your own workload
- Have your own means of transport, and be comfortable with a role that demands a substantial amount of travel between various locations
- Enjoy working with the Research & Innovation Team on important projects in new programme development
If you believe that you’ve got what it takes, then get in touch right now. Submit your CV and a covering letter (and not a stock standard one — we want to read why you really think this is for you) by clicking “Apply” now.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
