Our client has been providing education and training to their learners for over 50 years. It is their mission to “Help individuals, businesses and other organisations realise their ambition through learning and skills development” through provision designed to fit with working patterns of their students. Student satisfaction and students success rates remain consistently high and provision of high quality pastoral support is something they take seriously.
They are seeking to recruit an ambitious and aspiring professional. With a relevant undergraduate Degree (QCF Level 6) you will have experience of working in the health and social care or social care sectors; together ideally with recent successful teaching experience in higher education. Experience of delivering teacher education or staff CPD would also be an advantage. The successful candidate will hold, or be willing to work towards within a reasonable time, a Certificate in Education or PGCE, and/or have Qualified Teacher Status and/or have Qualified Lecturer Teacher Status.
Within this post you will take responsibility for the organisation and delivery of curriculum, including professional networking and maintaining the good reputation of the college. You will also coordinate and work with a team of subject specialists to ensure a high quality of curriculum delivery and further develop our curriculum offer. The post holder will also oversee and assure the delivery of high quality pastoral support.
With a committed, enthusiastic and flexible approach to the work of the department and the College, you will have the ability to prioritise, meet competing deadlines and work under pressure. You will also be able to demonstrate a capability to work in a responsive way to meet or exceed the expectations of the sectors and employers they serve. A strong team player, you will ideally also be able to evidence a thorough understanding of quality processes, their operation and implementation. Experience of developing/managing curriculum delivered through eLearning would also be an advantage.
