Service Engineer
Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
£20k to £21k per annum
Full time, 40 hours per week
Service Engineer – Role & Responsibilities:
The Service Engineer works as part of a team within the Service Department and has responsibility for the maintenance and repair of the Company contract and customer bulk blowing vehicles, mainly at the Company’s site, however there may be occasional travel to customer sites across the UK. The job holder is expected to interact with the customer in order to complete the fault & diagnostic investigation.
This is a physically demanding role and the job holder will be required to regularly lift, bend, twist and handle difficult and heavy items.
Service Engineer – Person Specification:
The ideal candidate should:
- Previous experience in MIG & TIG welding steel, including pipe work and aluminium
- Relevant welding qualifications
- Experience of hydraulic, pneumatic systems and their assembly
- Proven ability to work off of own initiative
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Be flexible to work overtime as required
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
A relevant engineering qualification, a class 1 or 2 HGV licence along with previous experience of building and maintaining pneumatic equipment is not essential, however would be an advantage.
