We have an interesting and challenging vacancy within the School Computer team.
We require a Computing Officer who will provide a high standard of IT support to
all staff and students in the College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences.

Full-time, Fixed-term for 1 year
We are looking for an experienced computer professional who has a high standard of general knowledge of Windows operating systems and, experience of some of the following packages used to support the extended research facilities at Brunel University London such as, ABAQUS, ANSYS, COMSOL, MATLAB, Mentor Graphics, MIMICS, OPNET, Pro/ENGINEER, PATRAN, SOLIDWORKS.
The post holder will provide IT support and troubleshooting for both hardware and software issues on a range of PCs, Macs and Laptops. It is also desirable to be able to program scripts in a windows environment. Applicants should have experience in installing hardware interfaces and the associated software interfaces to support the laboratory instrumentation used in the engineering laboratories.
You will require good interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with students, members of staff and external companies.
