Our client has been providing education and training to their learners for over 50 years. It is their mission to “Help individuals, businesses and other organisations realise their ambition through learning and skills development” through provision designed to fit with working patterns of their students.  Student satisfaction and students success rates remain consistently high and provision of pastoral support is excellent.

They are seeking to recruit an ambitious and aspiring professional.  With a relevant undergraduate Degree (QCF Level 6), the successful candidate will hold, or be willing to work towards, a Certificate in Education or PGCE, and/or have Qualified Teacher Status and/or have Qualified Lecturer Teacher Status. You will also have experience of working in a relevant sector together with recent successful teaching experience in at least one of the curriculum areas delivered within the Directorate that includes Teacher Education, Health & Social Care, Teaching Support Assistants and Early Years.

Within the post you will take responsibility for the organisation and delivery of curriculum; including professional networking and stakeholder management to build upon the good reputation of the college.  You will also line manage a team of dedicated higher education specialist staff together with a team of staff that delivery Access and Pre-Access courses. 

With a committed, enthusiastic and flexible approach to the work of the department and the College, you will have the ability to prioritise, meet competing deadlines and work under pressure whilst successfully managing resources.  You will also be able to demonstrate a capability to work to the quality levels expected within the higher education sector.  A strong team player, you will ideally also have a proven record of quality improvement and experience of developing/managing curriculum delivered through eLearning technologies.
