Volunteer Co-ordinator 

Salary grade point 22 to point 25 (£19817 to £21734) 18.5 hours per week (pro rata)

HARP is a progressive independent Southend based charity that reduces homelessness by providing emergency housing and long term solutions. This enables people to rebuild their lives and live independently within the community. 

Volunteers play an important role in helping HARP provide the range of services it does both at our Bradbury Day Centre and Emergency hostel and at our shops. Volunteers also help with our Community fundraising and Community engagement.

HARP is looking for a motivated and proactive Volunteer Co-ordinator to assist the Volunteer Manager in recruiting, retaining and managing HARP’s volunteers at the Bradbury Centre and at our HARP shops.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A good understanding of volunteer procedures and practices.

• Experience of managing volunteers or members of staff.

• Excellent team player with influencing and motivational skills.

• Experience of recruitment and induction training.

• An understanding and empathy for homeless people.
