Perpetual Engineering are looking for a Document Controller to work in this fast growing business in a Project Team. The role will be varied and interesting requiring an individual with a great attention to detail to support the project managers in delivering high value contracts. The role involves implementing and developing the document control systems.

The business is an engineering company with design, project management and manufacture on site based in Hertfordshire. They have a history of innovation and entrepreneurialism using the expertise in the business to diversify where necessary. The product line is diverse with 4 predominant areas.

The Role

As a Document Controller you will be working with the project management team to ensure the customer receives excellent service and delivery. The company is focussed on quality and hence the projects it delivers need to be right first time where possible. This role will involve: -

  • Coordination of the different departments documentation within the organisation, ensuring that documents are kept in the right location and are accessible to all internal services
  • Ensuring that all departments of the organisation are following the same procedures
  • Determine standards for document content and templates
  • Checking and approving documents before they are filed and liaising with internal and external agencies to ensure that documents contain correct and understandable information regarding their categorisation
  • Monitor and evaluate current manual systems and look for areas of improvement.
  • Maintenance of documents as revision levels change (Collect and destroy)
  • Producing listings and Setting up project filling systems.
  • Working with client base to maintain functionality between organisation
