An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Six Sigma Black Belt Expert to join a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced products used in a variety of engineering industries located in South West Scotland. This opportunity has arisen as part of Global strategy across all product divisions to drive Six Sigma initiatives which in turn will result in measurable performance and a positive financial impact.

As a Six Sigma Black Belt Expert your duties will be to:
• Ownership of the global process to Asses, Develop, Implement and Validate Six Sigma projects that align with business/functional goals and strategies.
• Search and Asses Six Sigma project lists for the management team.
• Identify and select the necessary key members to be part of the team of project and assure its availability by means of the support of its functional responsible.
• Evaluate and validate estimated potential cost saving of each project.
• Define project scopes, timelines and project plans.
• Provide training and coaching to team members to spread the base of 6S improvement tools and increase team effectiveness.
• Execute each project systematically applying the hardware, software and skills of Six Sigma Methodology to Define, to Measure, to Analyse, to Improve and to Control the processes.
• Drive and lead hands-on, the implementation of appropriate corrective/improvement action.
• Work to eliminate barriers and difficulties to ensure on time delivery of project.
• Define and Develop methods and systems to measure the degree to which the project goals, objectives, timelines and tangible savings are being met and Provide project status feedback in specified frequency.
• Validate together with the financial teams the Cost Improvement contribution of the project.
• Identify and coordinate the integration and potential expansion of project improvements with other projects/processes internally and externally.
• Document feedback from projects and share good practices with other areas and plants.
• Coordinate, Support and Coach Green Belts on their assigned projects.
• Identify potential future BlackBelts and Green Belts.
• Support the coordination and deployment of the plant Continuous Improvement plan.
• Support in the development of activities that have an impact on CI Engagement
An ideal Six Sigma Black Belt Expert will hold the following skills and experiences:
• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
• Strong experience in delivering significant positive business impact in a dedicated Black Belt, project management or other role in a manufacturing or similar engineering or technical industry environment.
• Proven results in managing Lean Six Sigma projects.
• Proficiency with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
• Experience of interfacing with executive leadership and making cases for strategic changes/improvements.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills.
• Teamwork, ability to coach others, motivate, build consensus and respect.
• Facilitation skills to encourage new ideas and participation.
• Has the influence and change management skills to gain commitment at all organisational levels.
• Strong project management skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
