After ten years, Smartebusiness has grown to a team of 17 key staff with offices in Manchester and Auckland, New Zealand. smartebusiness works on the Magento Platform with some of the UK's leading ecommerce websites including Brook Taverner, Ubisoft, N.PEAL, Naked Wines, Cox and Cox, Aga and global Japanese powerhouse Nisshinbo. Smartebusiness helped Book Taverner increase their online sales by over 200% in just six months. They also worked with Comic Relief enabling thousands of people to find their nearest Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile just by sending a text message.
Smartebusiness has been featured in a number of marketing publications including Marketing, Marketing Week and Direct Commerce Magazine.

Essential skills for the PHP Developer role:
•Object Oriented Application Design
•JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and/or Prototype
•Experience of managing and promoting effective use of version control systems
•Experience developing, supporting and maintaining complex, scalable web applications
•Extensive experience of the development lifecycle
•Ability to define, interpret and develop software to written requirements and technical specification
•Expert understanding of XHTML and CSS3
Desirable skills of the PHP Developer:
• Zend and/or Magento experience
•Experience of XML-RPC, REST, SOAP and other web services
•MySQL, including EAV data structures
