Managing IT Project across multiple disciplines and regions our Project Managers (PM, Project Manager, Project Management) love a challenge, getting excited about delivering E-Commerce and Application development projects and due to the creation of our EU Technology structure we can now do them bigger, better and faster.
At QVC, a global leading television shopping channel, we are looking for a proficient, engaging and highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in Chiswick Park, London.
Led by Philip (our EU IT Project Delivery Lead) you will deliver key Projects for our European and Global IT team. As an IT Project Manager (PM, Project Manager, Project Management) at QVC you will???
• Manage projects for all the stages of the project life cycle from feasibility through to systems support
• Collate and manage the production of detailed project plans
• Work closely with Technology Solution Architects offering support for development projects
• Liaise with the project teams in the US and EU to ensure plans are consistent and aligned.
• Drive through implementations taking all necessary steps to ensure success whilst anticipating risk and managing issues with solid mitigation plans.
• Manage the provision of ongoing advice and guidance to all stakeholders involved throughout the project life cycle.
• Be responsible for the quality of the solution implemented by the project team.
• Be responsible for the quality of all documentation produced by the project team, including formal sign-off
Here at QVC you will be working in a transitioning agile environment and will want to jump straight in and start leading and delivering multiple large scale projects from initiation through to implementation.
Requirements for the Project Manager (PM, Project Manager, Project Management) role
To be successful you will need to be a critical thinker, a problem solver, someone who is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complexity. You will have had exposure to one or ideally more of the following; PMP, Waterfall, Agile, ITIL and PRINCE2.
We see the successful candidate as someone who continually brings new ideas to the table, someone who thinks outside of the box, helping us to strive to be the leaders in our market. Ideally you will have had great success in managing a complex mix of critical projects within a portfolio, managing budgets in excess of GBP500,000 involving high risk and leading projects across international markets.
Naturally you will possess a collaborative, curious and flexible mind-set with the ability to grow a strong network of relationships quickly. You will be resilient and you won't see problems, instead you will see challenges and opportunities. You will continually want to learn and develop yourself by staying up-to-date with industry and technology trends and have the ability to contextualise their implications for QVC.
