From advisory services, strategic alignment and portfolio definition to service design, governance and assurance, service management and more, the scope and variety of our Group Business Services team's work is huge. It's here that we need your expertise as Project Manager (IT/Business Change) in Milton Keynes.
The Project Manager (IT/Business Change) is responsible for either delivering large and complex projects or a portfolio of projects and programmes in one or more of the following domains - Application Development or Enhancement OR for assuring the delivery of IT Business Solutions by our system integrators:- IT Infrastructure; Support for Business Process Change or Business Programme Level Management. As well as providing a professional service to clients to agreed timescales, budget and quality, the Project Manager builds and manages teams of specialists too. Forging relationships with business representatives and our SI partners as well as suppliers and stakeholders will be key, as will mentoring/coaching junior Project Manager and managing project finances, change control and progress reporting and general project governance.
As Project Manager (IT/Business Change), you'll need significant project/programme management experience gained on large scale IT/business change projects (e.g. c. GBP5m or more where you led teams of 30+) and formal Programme/Project Management qualifications or a degree in a computer related discipline. Adept at using project planning tools and critical path management, you should have a proven ability to assure the delivery of IT solutions via third party suppliers too. You should also know how to apply a range of delivery, development and software engineering life cycles (Waterfall, RAD, JAD, DSD, Agile). Financially astute and able to resolve commercial and contractual issues amicably, you're not afraid to challenge where appropriate, while HR Corporate knowledge and/or experience of E-business Systems would be useful.
