Our client is Leading Pharmaceutical organisation. They currently have a number of exciting roles to join an established and creative development operation.

Job Purpose

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate second jobber to develop your career with a world leading company, initially within Purchasing with a view to move into another area of the business, such as Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain. Therefore we are seeking an individual with a good first degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline, and a minimum of 3-4 years post graduate relevant work experience.

The Role

As a Category Buyer your role, with appropriate guidance and training, will be to support the Purchasing Managers across all categories (Direct, Indirect and Capex) in delivering departmental targets of cost reduction, quality and delivery requirements.

*Delivery of savings targets, ownership of savings pipeline and conducting tenders using internal prescribed tools
*Able to develop and deliver own initiatives by working with internal customers
*Business partner for Procurement with relevant departments working on or leading key site initiatives
*Ensure compliance to Procurement Policy
*Support key monthly reporting: eg savings submissions, purchase order compliance, shopping cart approval time, catalogue usage, vendor rating systems and compliance metrics
*Manage master data, change controls, deviation reports, and corrective actions as appropriate to support Direct categories

Experience/qualifications
*First degree in Engineering, manufacturing or related discipline
*Ability to develop relationships with key customers and suppliers
*Passion for Quality and Compliance
*Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
*Self - starter, resilient and results driven
*Ability to move cross functionally eg Engineering, Supply Chain, manufacturing
