This is a rare opportunity to join this British owned crisps and snacks manufacturer operating in the UK across 5 sites. They hold the 3rd largest category share combined across both brands and retailer brand.
They work collaboratively with their customers on retailer brand across major multiples, convenience, foodservice and export. A testament to their ways of working is receiving The Grocer 2014 Own Label Supplier Award for Crisps & Snacks.
Some exciting new opportunities are available at their head office based in Corby as they expand their commercial team.
Principal Activities:
- Driving category relationships, leading category management projects to optimise ranges and retailer merchandising for:
o Impulse Sector
o Aldi
o Netto
o Waitrose
- Range and space analysis for Tesco, Sainsbury's, Aldi, Netto and Waitrose.
- Identify and clearly define key category and customer issues and opportunities then generate the insights needed to resolve.
- Own label gap analysis support.
- Lead audits on Convenience, Forecourts, Independents, Value Retailers and C&C
- Retailer and Channel focus and alignment - part of customer business unit teams.
- Directly responsibility for own accounts and supporting role on line manager's accounts as required and directed by line manager.
- To ensure delivery of the agreed category development and retail channel strategy to support the company business plan for the appropriate retailers.
- Effective and regular communication with the customer marketing, brand marketing, national accounts/sales and NPD teams to ensure brand and own label objectives by account are met.
- Deliver range and space planning solutions ensuring that planograms can be implemented at point of purchase with appropriate retailer(s).
- Maintain for own and line manager's portfolio of accounts: store numeric distribution, value weighted distribution, compliance and operational delivery.
- Publication and deadline management for range change and review calendars.
Average of 4 to 5 days per week in Corby office. Flexibility to attend off site meetings and work at other sites. Must be able to flex and manage diary to accommodate meetings based in head offices, stores, other retailer's venues and with National Accounts/Sales, or as required by line manager and function head.
