Bid Manager

Up to GBP40k + Benefits (depending on experience)

Midlands or South East.

Reporting to the Business Development Director, the successful candidate will join a fast growing company working in multiple sectors. You will be responsible for the development and management of winning bids and the submission of bids.

The range of bids will be varied but mostly private sectors clients including multi-disciplinary design consultancy, engineering, construction, infrastructure, rail and water.

The range of bids will also be a varied procurement and contract arrangements from preferred supplier frameworks, and sole contracts to complex partnering arrangements and Joint Ventures.

Essential Experience/Skills
. Strong organisational and project management skills
. Relevant experience in sales and bid management
. Understanding of the financial, risk, legal and contractual aspects of tendering
. Exceptional and strong communication skills- ability to engage colleagues and senior staff in the bid team and others
. Able to translate strategy in deliverable action plans- and to monitor progress
. Attention to detail, strong implementer and finisher of tasks
. A drive to win, to deliver high quality submissions and continuously improve process
. Creation of successful well written bid responses
. Engagement at all levels to ensure successful outputs as part of a bid programme
. Management of complex bid programmes
. Flexibility in terms of approach to achieving required outcomes and starting new projects and bid assignments
. Ensuring the development of a win strategy and the articulation of this into the bid
. Effective management of bid governance
. Overview of the Financial and Commercial aspects of the bid
