Job Title - Volunteering Development Officer
Salary - £28,395 per annum
Location - Brighton
Hours - 35 hours per week
This challenging and busy job involves managing the volunteering programme for our Brighton training centre and in the surrounding community. We are looking for a Volunteering Development Officer to maintain and develop our network of volunteers who support our blind veterans with a variety of regular and ad hoc activities including befriending, arts & crafts, outings, social activities, sports and recreation and many more.
The ideal Volunteering Development Officer will be an individual who has had success growing and developing a volunteer network for a national charitable organisation or possibly for a hospital or similar type of organisation.
The Volunteering Development Officer will be an engaging, tactful and diplomatic professional who will use previous experience to understand the volunteering needs of the charity. They will know how to attract committed and skilled individuals to become involved in supporting our ultimate goal that no one who has served our country should have to battle blindness alone. They will need to be able to demonstrate how their skill, knowledge and experience makes them the person we are looking for.
