Opportunity

Hitachi Consulting in the UK has a centralised recruitment function covering Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The Recruitment team is responsible for bringing permanent employees into the business through a variety of channels, predominantly via direct sourcing.

As an experienced recruiter you will understand the benefits of engaging with candidates and having a deep understanding of the markets in which you operate. We do too.

Working at Hitachi Consulting you will be given the freedom to engage with candidates and to become the subject matter expert for the business areas that you cover. We'll give you the tools to be effective, including job board access, an active employee referral program, full corporate access to LinkedIn, and of course the Hitachi brand.

You will also develop strong working relationships with your colleagues in our consulting practices, acting as the first point of contact for recruitment queries and helping to guide hiring decisions.

Responsibilities

You'll need to combine first class candidate sourcing skills with exceptional client management ability as you'll be managing the full recruitment life cycle. This will include driving candidates into the recruitment process, acting as the point of contact for designated Hiring Managers and maintaining a pipeline of candidates which will primarily be sourced directly.

There will also be the opportunity for involvement in project related activities as we continuously improve how we operate.

The skills and experience we look for include:

  • An exceptional track record in the delivery of recruitment services within a professional services/highly corporate environment
  • A demonstrable background of recruiting for IT services or Management Consulting (eg Big 4) combined with knowledge of these sectors gained from working as part of an in house recruitment function or recruitment consultancy/RPO provider
  • First class customer and candidate management ability
  • Very strong interpersonal and communications skills including an excellent telephone manner
  • Good planning, time management, decision making, presentation and organisation skills
  • A motivation to achieve results and a record of achieving or exceeding KPIs
  • An ability to understand and interpret a wide variety of people in a professional manner and present the Hitachi Consulting candidate proposition to them appropriately
