Our client specialises in developing and delivering electronic and digital solutions / self-service payment and transactional environments, which simplify the lives of individuals and the organisations they interact with across 500 cities globally.

They now require an Account Manager / Sales Executive to manage relationships with a number of their clients and to help retain and increase revenues.

THE OPPORTUNITY

• You will establish and maintain strong client relationships through regular close contact account management, which will include regular face-to-face meetings, telephone and email communication.
• The core purpose of this role is to increase the potential for the business to create and realise value from each individual client by evangelising their unique portfolio of products.
• You will keep in close touch and listen to the needs of Key Accounts by visiting them regularly.
• Develop and close new business (up-sell and cross-sell,) opportunities from accounts and produce any necessary proposal or supporting documentation.
• You will work with existing clients in both public and private sectors and internal customers.
• Deal with change control / documentation for key accounts.
• It is envisaged that you will spend at least 20% of your time on the road / at client sites and 80% in their modern offices.
• You will troubleshoot and resolve any issues that a client may be experiencing and work with their Product Manager to test and deploy new versions of software when required.
• Attend industry events and exhibitions.

THE INDIVIDUAL

• You will be an enthusiastic, personable and proactive, able to prioritise, manage and track multiple activities and tasks.
• You will have a strong customer service ethos and be capable of leveraging empathy into orders.
• You will be able to deal with people at all levels and build a rapport to establish good working relationships.
• You will be resilient, able to cope well under pressure matched with a flexible approach to work.
• Knowledge of all MS Office packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• A computer science degree or similar / equivalent would be advantageous but not essential.


• You could be an account executive or in a sales support role and now looking for a new challenge.
• This is an account development role; that will be ideally suited to someone who has been in an internal sales role or first line B2B support role and wishes to progress into an account management role.
• You will have a current UK driving licence.
• The successful applicant will be offered appropriate and necessary hands-on development and training, thus you will spend 2-3 months in their Service Delivery team learning the product suite and configuration capabilities; so that you can translate them with ease to their client base.
