SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants to work with learners with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties in a Bolton SEN school.

As well as academic support this role also includes personal care.

The ideal candidate will already have experience working within a similar environment.

You will be working in a secondary SEN School in Bolton where the learners work at varying levels of academia.

Every member of staff must recognise that every child is different and be able to diversify their approach to support each learner to reach their full potential.

The main aim of the school is to ensure every pupil has the right tools both personally and academically for each of their individuals needs.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Record and monitor the progress of pupils
- Deliver and evaluate sessions
- Engage vulnerable young people with behaviour problems
- Inspire young people
- Liaise with social services and other agencies
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills

You must:
- Be Motivated and Enthusiastic
- Have a good standard of English and Maths
- Be comfortable with working with children with PMLD
