Job Title: Inward Investment Manager

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands

Salary: £32k - £35k per Annum and Contributory Pension Scheme

This new role is to promote & deliver our clients inward investment opportunities with a focus on North Worcestershire, to include Wyre Forest, Bromsgrove & Redditch. This will be based within their company working with the wider team who promote the Greater Birmingham area to drive growth & job opportunities.

This Inward Investment Manager will be instrumental delivering projects which contribute to their business growth & expansion, supply chain development & lead to significant job creation across project area. Rigorous performance management framework will support these objectives, requiring highly motivated & engaging individual to ensure they are not only met, but potentially exceeded.

The successful Inward Investment Manager candidate will need to be a visible & credible ambassador as well as supporting the wider North Worcestershire Economic Development & Regeneration (NWEDR) Team’s efforts to attract & secure inward investment & domestic business relocations / expansions. Able to demonstrate how they have delivered an intelligence lead sales process & achieved results in the area of business & professional services.

This role will work principally out of their offices but needs to be flexible & work on a mobile basis from Kidderminster, Bromsgrove & Redditch. There will be requirements to travel across Greater Birmingham with focus on North Worcestershire, visiting key sites.

Inward Investment Manager Role:

•Developing & implementing sustainable, sector specific & measurable strategy to identify & secure inward investment to North Worcestershire within clearly defined timeframes, refining as trends/ themes develop.

•Implementing successful inward investment campaign to identify, attract & secure inward investment, achieving investment targets with individuals, partners or other appropriate consortia.

•Identifying & targeting new investment markets & opportunities to benefit North Worcestershire.

•Supporting sales teams with research & offering information to enable the intelligent targeting of companies suitable for relocation and/or investment prior to sales missions.

•Engaging with UKTI & assisting in the delivery of the Enterprise Belt Inward Investment Strategy

The Candidate:

•Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent & possess excellent interpersonal & team working skills, coupled with a proven ability to form partnerships & motivate, enthuse & drive individuals

•Good understanding of current business investment trends within sectors is essential, as is an appreciation of issues related to securing major investment opportunities to include understanding the property development process

•Evidence of success in brokering collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders, to include experience of engagement with local communities & building partnerships
