Telephone System Engineer

This company supply, install and maintain telecommunications for businesses across the UK. Due to successful growth in their field they are currently recruiting for a Telephone Engineer based in the north of England to join their team.

This role would suit an individual who is fully experienced in installing & fault handling on the latest analogue, ISDN and IP based telephone systems.

This is a purely field-based role and the successful candidates will ideally have experience of installation, maintenance and fault-handling on a variety of telephone systems including Ericsson-LG, Mitel, Avaya, Siemens, Samsung, Nortel & Panasonic.

The role is diverse and requires someone with a can-do attitude, a pragmatic problem-solving work ethic & who is prepared to travel widely and is capable of providing a high level of customer service in a demanding role.

The candidate will need to be flexible with hours including some weekend and many out of business hours for maintenance and fault handling scenarios.

You will work the majority of time alone but on larger installations as part of a team of dedicated engineers and installation workers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing, installing, & fault handling of telephone systems from multiple manufacturers, particularly Ericsson-LG
- Extensive programming for Auto Attendant, IVR, complex voicemail, call handling software, VoIP & SIP trunking.
- Cat5e and Cat6 network installations including Networking and POE.
- Professional appearance and identification of up sell opportunities

Benefits include:

Salary between £20,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience, overtime pay, company vehicle, fuel card, a laptop and mobile.
