An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager to work with a number of the most recognisable kitchen brands in the UK as well as internationally. Our client has experienced vast growth and have now found a need to expand further with an additional full time Account Manager in the UK. Reporting directly into the UK Sales Manager this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business as they experience vast growth in the Housewares market. Currently based in Otley, relocating to central Leeds early next year 2015.

Key responsibilities of the Account Manager:

  • Develop, train, motivate and leverage relationships with key partners.
  • Build network of contacts amongst key influencers / decision makers.
  • Ensure any new business is communicated to the relevant stock controllers to ensure a consistent supply.
  • Build strong professional relationships with existing and new accounts that can be leveraged to gain commitment to increase distribution / sales.
  • Find and open new accounts in the Housewares sector.
  • Submit monthly reports to highlight performance v targets.
  • Ensure that activity supports central brand direction where applicable.
  • Communicating with internal divisions to ensure account requirements are being met.

Essential requirements of the Account Manager:

  • Experience in the housewares sector particularly kitchen, dining and outdoor categories would be desirable.
  • Graduate calibre with current exposure managing regional, key or national accounts at head office level – ideally within the Independent Department Store & Garden Centre market sector.
  • Independents & Garden Centre knowledge / experience in a supplier sales role.
  • Good network of contacts within the independent/garden centre world.
  • Excellent Communication skills demonstrating confidence in front of customers.
  • Strategic Thinking and planning.
  • Passion for the product.
  • Financial planning / Reporting.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Creative mind-set with high levels of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.

Salary of the Account Manager:

In return you will receive a competitive salary ranging from £28,000 - £33,000 DOE with the opportunity to receive an annual bonus, monthly car allowance and 20 days holiday + bank holidays.
