Our client is looking for a Oracle Database Administrator (MS SQL ITIL) to join a focussed and experienced team within a company dedicated to customer satisfaction and delivering high level solutions to clients around the world.

Our client initially started in the UK and Irish market, with a head office located in Hampshire, and over the last 25 years, has now expanded across the rest of Europe with unrivalled success.

Day day responsibilities of this role will include database maintenance, helpdesk support, data analysis, database architecture using SQL, PL/SQL and other Oracle technologies. The client and I would be very keen to speak to candidates who are very technically minded, but also are keen to mentor the junior members of the team to help with their personal growth and knowledge

Our client is looking for a Oracle Database Administrator (MS SQL ITIL) who is responsible for monitoring the companies databases to ensure that a reliable, effective and efficient service is delivered in line with Service Level Agreements. The Database Administrator will fit in to a team of five who will in turn be responsible for the 24/7 monitoring of the growing databases. The chosen candidate will also have to provide support and assistance to internal stakeholders and clients when required.

The ideal candidate will need to have experience in administering Oracle databases and providing technical support to critical databases. Following this, the candidate must have experience of supporting major blue chip customers in a 24/7 managed services/data centre environment working with relevant technologies and within an ITIL framework. The ideal candidate will need to have strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with a wide ranging knowledge of tools and technologies complementary to Oracle. The candidate will need to be vastly experienced in Oracle 10g and 11g. Our client is needing the candidate to be an Oracle Certified Professional and/or BSc in a relevant subject or with equivalent experience.
