Have you ever woken up in the morning and didn't want to go to work because you're bored of the day to day? Bored of seeing the same old people in the same old places; bored of mind-numbing repetitive tasks that before you know it, turn your professional life into one big mundane routine?

Do you see those 'happy people' on the morning commute and wonder what they're so happy about? I mean, who are these people? Do they even exist? The answer is YES they do, and you could be one of them!

As a Street Academy fundraiser you would be joining an award winning fundraising team (winners of 2 IOF awards - the BAFTAs of fundraising) recognised for having the best face to face operation by their peers. As a result of this, the Street Academy has flourished starting a Text to give 2 step campaigns that is ever growing and working with household named charities such as CRUK, Oxfam, UNICEF, Save the Children, Samaritans and Action Aid. 

 The reason charities exist is to help make a lasting change to the society we live in. Armed with nothing but the power of your words, wit, charisma and passion; you will remind the general public that as people, we're not insignificant. We can help one another and we should; every one of us can make a real difference. And when we do, we can feel proud of it!

Working in a different parts of Devon with some of the most inspirational and passionate individuals that you have ever met, you will be interacting and inspiring the public, while educating them on the serious issues world wide that can be prevented by the touch of a button hopefully securing donations for years to come. Without asking for any personal bank account details, you will create ripples with your conversations by asking people to send a text; ripples that turn into waves of social change and activism.

The successful candidates will be someone who love being outdoors and thinks that there's more to life than a dull repetitive 9 to 5. Articulate, passionate and tenacious; street fundraisers are talented communicators who don't mind a bit of rejection (or rain!).  Past relevant experience is desirable but definitely not essential as full training is provided; but a real passion for the cause is vital, as well as the confidence to stand up and be counted.
