Signway Supplies (Datchet) Ltd are market leaders in the manufacture and installation of permanent road traffic signs and related street furniture such as sign lights, sign posts and bollards; providing services to both the civil engineering and local authority sectors.
We have been in operation for 40 years and are a market leader within our field; manufacturing and co-ordinating installation works from our premises in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Installation Manager to join our team. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to work alongside our factory management team in a demanding and challenging role.
Key Accountabilities:
Daily liaison with the Installation Manager and installation teams
Planning installation team workloads and ensuring product is ready and available to be loaded on a daily basis
Briefing and debriefing installation teams, including handover of installation paperwork
Dealing with installation team requests and/or issues as they arise
Co-ordinating and booking accommodation and/or concrete etc
Liaising with clients to confirm start dates and project details
Ensuring all installation teams are fully equipped including relevant PPE
Logging and co-ordinating installation vehicle inspections, repairs and services
Ad hoc duties as required
You will be working in a small size team and will possess strong communication skills, be flexible, have the ability to prioritise and multitask and will work well under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
Person Specification:
A construction background or experience/qualifications would be preferred but not essential
Good IT skills and ability to pick up our in-house planning database
Organised and confident
Excellent communicator
Team player
Pro-active hands on approach
Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
