IT Support Manager

An opportunity has risen for a dedicated and proactive IT Support Manager capable of thriving in a fast paced environment for an immediate start to work within our small team as a IT Support Manager.

You must be an IT professional capable of providing first class support.You will be adaptable to new and emerging technologies to further enhance our product and services portfolio.In this role you will be responsible for providing proactive support to our expanding customer base and be enthusiastic and highly organised with strong multi-tasking abilities and excellent time keeping. You will also be articulate and decisive with excellent self-time management. You will manage a small team of engineers and will be responsible for their training and development.

You will provide server, desktop, network hardware & software support. You will ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner and that excellent service is delivered at all times. It is essential that you have the ability to prioritise in order to adhere to tight deadlines and maintain accurate and timely updates.

You will ensure our strong reputation is maintained and present a friendly, knowledgeable attitude making sure you leave customers satisfied, reassured and with working systems.

You will be expected to work during standard business hours but also be required to be flexible when needs arise.

To be considered for this role, you MUST have knowledge & experience of the following:

  • Windows Server 2008/2012
  • Exchange 2007/2010/2012
  • Windows Operating Systems XP/7/8
  • Windows Desktop Applications
  • Active Directory administration
  • Configuration of hardware
  • General networking support (LAN, WAN, VPN)
  • Virtualisation

Desirable knowledge, experience & qualification of some or all of the following:

 

 

  • Smart& iPhone support
  • Desktop build & imaging
  • Storage and backup technologies
  • MAC OS and hardware
  • VOIP & Telephony
  • Microsoft Certified or working towards it

Attributes required:

 

 

 

 

  • Working knowledge across all the IT disciplines including hardware, software and connectivity
  • Excellent communication & problem solving skills, ability to take ownership of the work assigned, and deliver results timely, reliably and correctly
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and technical skills, with a strong customer service orientation
  • Self-managed and a self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communications capable of delivering at a senior level
  • Capable of proactively recommending effective courses of action, communicate resolution, policy and procedures to the various IT stakeholders, management, and end users
  • Proven time management and delegation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness
  • Must be dynamic, innovative and capable of securing the respect and high level trust required by the help desk and IT teams for this position to be successful
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams in a fast paced environment
