We have an exciting opportunity for a HNC/HND qualified individual in Mechanical Engineering. We are seeking a Senior Piping Designer who has experience of AutoCAD Plant 2D and 3D or Intergraph Smart Plant 3D, to produce 3D models, GA’s, isometrics, MTO’s and pipe support details. Working extensively with all other in-house and on- site disciplines you will be responsible for fulfilling the requirements of an EPC contract and confidently raising matters that may affect quality, deadlines or cost. Such activities may include the supply of data and layouts to the relevant departments, confirmation of nozzle locations, orientation of equipment for design purposes, providing information to allow for the routing of main cable racks, and the confirmation of locations for concrete bases for pipe support. Reviewing client specifications and documents as well as adhering to CDM regulations requires meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as well as knowledge of codes and standards. Previous work in industries such as LNG storage, petrochemical, power, oil and gas, or nuclear would be a definite advantage.
