Our client is the leading developer and construction partner to the care sector. Working exclusively in the care sector, they're experts in their field. They have an unrivalled track record of delivery with many of the UK's leading commercial and not-for-profit care operators. They are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their projects delivery team.
JOB PURPOSE and JOB ROLE
The Contracts Manager is accountable to the Projects Director for ensuring that projects within their control are delivered in line with budget, margin, timescales and quality.
The role focuses on the delivery of projects during the Mobilisation and Construction phase through to the Defects Liability Period and is accountable for ensuring that their team maintains the highest level of Customer Satisfaction and Health and Safety.
The Contracts Manager is responsible for ensuring that their team delivers in-line with the Company vision values and strategic goals.
You will have excellent people management skills with the ability to develop and build upon relationships with colleagues, suppliers and sub-contractors. You will lead the operational teams which will include site based Construction Managers, Finishing Managers and a Crane Driver. You will liaise closely with and be supported by commercial and pre-construction teams.
Job Requirements
The candidate must possess the following:
Essential
1. Experience of multi-site management at a senior level in project operations discipline.
2. Experience in managing and leading multi-disciplinary project teams.
3. Working knowledge of JCT design & build contracts.
4. Excellent planning and programming skills
5. Working knowledge of H&S legislation
6. Commitment to customer satisfaction through achievement of quality
7. Ability to lead to the design development process within project parameters
8. Experience of partnering relationships: customer and supply chain collaboration
9. Experience of cost control and cost planning
