Area Trainer - Merseyside
We are currently looking to expand our existing team of Care Home Based Trainers (Area Trainer) working in our Bupa Care Homes throughout the UK.
Each Area Trainer is responsible for a portfolio of Bupa care homes in a particular geographical area.
About the role:
Reporting to the Area Training Manager the main purpose of the Area Trainer is:
- Plan, manage and deliver effective operational training within the home OR homes depending on if the role is for a cluster to include Induction and Mandatory training requirements, examples of which include Bupa Core Essential Training which cover aspects of training including Introduction to Food Hygiene, Basic Infection Control, Manual Handling and Fire Safety Training amongst others.
- Use a range of training methods to motivate and meet the needs of different learning styles
- Communicate effectively and promote awareness of the training opportunities and planned training activity within the home
- Work collaboratively with our Care Home managers and advise on the identification of training needs arising from competence gaps and audit/inspections
Who we are looking for:
- Someone with recent care sector experience is a must
- Experience of delivering training to group facilitation, coaching and/or one to one support
- An understanding of mandatory /legislative requirements in the care sector
- Someone who holds an appropriate care/training qualification
- Competent IT skills − Microsoft office packages
