The UK Renal Registry (UKRR) is a registered charity providing an independent comparative audit service to renal units in the UK. We are respected nationally and internationally as a valuable source of outcome data for patients with renal failure, which is used to enhance and improve patient care. Further information can be found at www.renalreg.org.

We wish to appoint a self-motivated Data Manager on a minimum 12 month contract, someone enthusiastic and forward thinking with a passion for audit and an interest in IT, and with the ability to focus on the detail and accuracy of computer generated validation reports on incoming data.

This is a pivotal role within the UKRR. The post holder needs to be flexible, have excellent analytical, organisation and communication skills, and operate as a strong team player. You must be confident liaising with individuals to resolve queries and be able to apply your auditing skills to logically think through processes to manage data problems, with high attention to detail. You will be expected to work under pressure in a changing environment to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities will include:

  • monitoring, auditing and advising on the quality of data received from UK renal centres
  • correcting data errors highlighted by data validation routines
  • chasing renal centres for quarterly reports and any missing data
  • resolving data discrepancies identified by audit routines
  • undertaking work as specified on internal and external data projects

Some UK travel may be required.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team.
