Our client is recognised as an Ofsted Outstanding provider, following inspection in October 2013. Ofsted rated the Overall effectiveness of their provision, along with Outcomes for learners, Quality of teaching, learning and assessment and Effectiveness of leadership and management as Outstanding. In addition, the Quality Assurance Agency, which independently reports on the quality and standards of degree provision, awarded the College more commendations than any other university or Higher Education establishment in the UK to date when it published its report in July 2013.
They are now looking to recruit a Programme Leader in FE Performing Arts.
Within the role you will have responsibility for a programme(s)/curriculum, including recruitment, curriculum content and quality indicators. You will lead the development and delivery of a curriculum area, as subject leader/programme tutor, within a School. You will also provide a coordinating focus within a team of subject specialists.
Whilst being fully conversant with programme/course regulations and specifications for the defined area, you will be directly involved in the delivery and management of student learning and be responsible for the completion of the course review process and Quality Improvement Plan. Assisting with the continuing development of learning resources to support the curriculum, you will actively inform the curriculum content to meet a range of needs and take responsibility for the day to day operational condition of the course and its delivery.
The successful candidate must be educated to GCSE grade C in English and Maths and will hold a recognised teaching qualification. You should possess a good Degree in the relevant discipline coupled with an assessor and/or verifier award (or will be willing to achieve in probationary period).
Previous industrial experience along with experience of teaching a wide range of levels which is evidenced by high success rates and student satisfaction is also important.
Positively influencing and motivating team members to develop the learning experience for students, you will also have the ability to coordinate a team of individuals to deliver a specific programme of curriculum and meet a range of targets related to College priorities through effective monitoring and coordinating.
