IT Administrator

Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of IT and support desk knowledge. A high standard of Microsoft Office suite knowledge is essential, combined with excellent organisational skills.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Fixed + Mobile Telephony Management

The group currently has 600 Mobile Phone/Blackberry Connections and circa 250 Fixed Line Connections

  • Place new fixed or mobile orders and manage order /delivery lifecycle
  • Arrange for faulty units to be replaced, to include collection and transfer process with end users
  • Initial point of contact for all Blackberry connectivity issues
  • Manage device passwords and PUK code requirements with suppliers
  • Manage local services (Overseas bolt-ons, blocked SIMS, disabling of handsets) as required
  • Manage configuration of new and replacement devices with the vendor
  • Liaise with finance regarding monthly invoices
  • Provide ad-hoc user reports for local site and group level as required
  • Provide initial Cambian PoC in event of 3rd party requests for information or site level support
  • Arrange SIM transfers

IT Procurement Duties

  • Act as initial point of contact for group IT purchase ordering
  • Process orders received and prioritise and confirm authenticity directly or with 3rd parties
  • Manage purchase order lifecycle with 3rd party suppliers, external technical support and internal business clients
  • Initial poc for all invoice reconciliation and payment processing
  • Provide monthly updates to IT Manager
  • Receipt and Shipping of goods
  • Vendor management / selection process

Manage starters and leavers process

  • Manage Hardware requirements process for PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, home telephone lines
  • Review IT user account requests including data required to support email signature requirements and forward to external support
  • Create all service user Active Directory Objects and assign Security Group to include restrictions in liaison with external support
  • Support software development team and IT support team with systems administration tasks, (e.g. user account creation, password management, role creation/revoking)
  • Create user profile with necessary security permissions provided
  • Manage user hardware requirements
  • Liaise with HR regarding starters/leavers
  • Ensure all issued hardware is returned on individual's departure and asset register updated accordingly

Tech/Admin Support to Group IT Management Team

  • Support for user issues requiring external 3rd Party Management - liaison with third parties
  • Initial information gathering support regarding 3rd party support queries
  • Provide support to IT Project Manager as required

CambianPoint

  • Provide support to business functions
  • New policy section creation
  • New site creation
  • Security changes
  • Education Sites - additional student names to contact sheets
