Women’s Housing Action Group

WHAG is a housing support charity that works in Bury, Cheshire West and Chester, Rochdale and Wigan. WHAG works to empower and enable women who are vulnerable and homeless and women and men fleeing or experiencing Domestic Abuse and require support.

We currently have the following vacancies:

Assistant Support Worker (nights) to help support the Female Domestic Abuse accommodation service in Cheshire West and Chester.

3 x Assistant Tenancy Support Workers (Nights and Weekends, including sleeps)

Post 1: (23 hrs) Sunday 3pm – Monday 9am, Monday 4.30pm – Tuesday 9am, Tuesday 4.30 pm – Wednesday 9am.

Post 2: (22 hrs) Wednesday 4.30pm- Tues 9am, & Saturdays 3pm- Sunday 3.30pm.                

Post 3: (20.5hrs) Thursday 4.30pm – Friday 9am, & Fridays 4.30pm – Saturday 3.30pm

Salary Point 17 £16,830.00 (Pro Rata) (Sleep in allowance also paid)

As these posts are at women only projects section (s7 (2) (d)) of the Sex Discrimination Act applies.

Housekeeper  (Hours:16)

To deliver housekeeping in our refuge and dispersed properties at our Domestic Abuse Service in Cheshire West and Chester

Salary Point: 16, £16,604 (Pro Rata)

WHAG is looking for highly motivated staff to ensure that a quality service is provided to all of WHAG’s service users.

You will need to demonstrate knowledge of working with women and have a good understanding of the needs and issues of vulnerable people and the issues they face.
