We are working in partnership with our client school to recruit an experience Teaching Assistant to work with children within a pupil referral unit who have varied special needs resulting in challenging behaviour
The Job
You will be required to support within a classroom, sometimes leading set lessons and working closely with children with extreme challenging behaviour. You will be required to form professional relationships with these children quickly and gain their trust and get them learning. You will help them to manage their own behaviour resulting in them reaching their individual potential.
The School
Our client is a pupil referral unit and caters for children who have been excluded from mainstream education mostly because of challenging behaviour. You will have sufficient information about each child you work with and will need to be confident and able to create relationships with children quickly and within a professional manner.
The Child
The Children within the environment have been removed from mainstream education mostly because of behaviour related incidents. This is quite often caused by these children not coping within a school environment and when removed tend to flourish within their new surroundings.
