Integral Systems Europe is an established Satellite System Integrator with a turnover in excess of £10M a year and a client base that includes companies such BSkyB, C&W, AsiaSat, SingTel, SES Astra and other large corporations within the satellite industry. We have recently secured multiple large international projects and want to take on new personnel to meet the growing demand.
The Role
Based on the Team Valley Trading Estate we have an immediate vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to become a key member of the engineering team. We are looking for someone who has a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar level qualification in design, with good CAD skills.
Experience with manufacturing of large mechanical structures with drive systems is highly desirable. We are interested in people who have good practical skills and are keen to develop their technical knowledge in all areas of engineering. The Mechanical Engineer/Designer role would be primarily Newcastle-upon-Tyne based, but will also involve some overseas travel to perform system integration and vendor factory inspections.

MSOffice products such as Word, Excel and Visio are expected as well as good competence in AutoCAD, Sketchup and other technical drawing applications. Applicants should also be familiar with working in a company that operates to ISO9000. Candidates should have a driving license and willingness to travel both in country and abroad.

- Responsibility for the Mechanical Design verification of Large Aperture Satellite antennas
- System Site Design and Layout
- Mechanical design of RF Sub-System assemblies
- Be-spoke mechanical assembly design
- Support on designs for proposals
The role would also include:
- Managing the Issued Documents for the various projects
- Site installation support
- Rack Manufacture support
- Equipment shelter design
- Site Survey Support
