Support Worker Role:
 
Bank support workers required to join their teams in Reading. Supporting individuals plan what they wish to do each day, take them shopping, prepare meals, support them in a range of activities from cooking, bowling, swimming, cinema, local pub and encouraging new opportunities. The Bank Support Worker will be able to take difficult situations in your stride, remain calm and be confident in dealing with them. This can be very rewarding role.

About You:
 
Previous experience working in the care sector or supporting someone is not essential as comprehensive induction and training is provided. You must have a genuine interest in supporting people with learning disabilities and able to clearly differentiate between care and support: the emphasis is on enabling people to do things for themselves, not doing things for them.

The Support Worker must provide eligibility of their right to work in the UK and the role is subject to an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position and any disclosure will be used fairly. If a disclosure reveals something of concern, matters will be discussed before the job offer is considered.
