Recovery Patrol / C+E Driver

Recovery Patrols arrive at the roadside, and have to make a quick assessment, often while reassuring the member; it's not nice when your vehicle won't work.

They work quickly but carefully to loading vehicles onto the recovery truck, and take the member and their vehicle to their destination.

We make sure that AA members and business customers receive the level of service required wherever they need it, whenever they need it, and because of this we have shift patterns to ensure our members are not stranded at the roadside.

This is where you come in. You will be employed on a 5-3 (5 days working and 3 days rest) shift pattern.

You'll work alone most of the time, but you'll also have AA members in your cab for company and the open road as your office.

If you've got good time-management skills, you're motivated and take pride in your work this could be the role for you. You'll need to work to deadlines and have a calm temperament so you react well under pressure. Attention to detail goes without saying.

You must have a digital driver's card, or obtain one prior to commencement and you'll need a valid, clean LGV 1 (C+E) licence and be prepared to complete at least 7 hours DCPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) training prior to your 1st date of employment.

We have depots all over the UK, however at this time we are only accepting applications for the following locations (please be aware you will need to live within 25 miles of the depot in order to qualify):

Locations: Northampton, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Maidstone, Swindon, Reading, Runcorn, Gorton, Aylesbury and Southampton.

London Depots (Applicants must live within 1 hour travel of these depots): Wimbledon, Ealing, Dagenham

OTE GBP28,000

Guaranteed Minimum Salary: GBP22,733 (made up of Basic Salary GBP19,089 and Flexibility Allowances of GBP3,644)
